Does anyone else have problems with blowing up or causing shorts in all home Appliances? These quit working mysteriously at our home.

Also: Light bulbs? Batteries? Anything Electrical?

Does anyone have a clue what causes this?
Has any studies been done on this?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
