kathy: this articles are very helpful but i would like to know, some state lightning injuries but with electrical shock injury alot is the same, so can we safely assume that they are?

As yet, no one has done enough research to really know the differences between electrical shock and lightning injuries--but there may be some--for example, the shock from a lightning strike is very short-lived--the shock from an electrical injury and last much longer. We know there are some similarities between the two--but we don't as yet know the extent of the differences. I wish I knew more.
